Days/Time: Camp runs 9-5, Monday through Thursday
Cost: $415/week (Mon-Thurs)
Experience: Beginners with no experience to Advanced seeking an intense week of training!
May 29-June 1
An indoor arena, air-conditioned class room and a full schedule means that learning and riding is never affected by inclement weather.
Two rides each day, one in the cool of the morning focusing on technique and an afternoon sessions teaches through fun: mounted games, bareback training or a hack through the many woodland trails on the farm.
Campers acquire knowledge in daily horse care: grooming, tacking, feeding, bathing, and stall cleaning. These activities promote a strong relationship between horse and rider.
No horse-rider relationship is complete without an understanding of daily equine needs including nutrition, first-aid, and horse psychology. In addition to this instruction, we take advantage of the opportunity to speak with equine professionals calling on the farm: farriers, veterinarians, dentists, massage therapists, or celebrity riders as the opportunity arises
Our facility has a pond for fishing and kayaking activities. Hiking trails to the waterfall by foot or by pony can also be incorporated into the week for an educational aspect. Lunch under the trees is always a favorite as the low limbs beckon kids to climb. Whatever your child’s interests we are sure they will have fun at GlenAyre.
